Raketec Multiple Bar Screen
Raketec is a multiple-rake bar screen system with no moving parts under grade level. It is a two-chain, free sprocket mechanism guarantying reliability and ease of use. A combination of stainless steel rakes, and durable brushes thoroughly cleans debris from the screen.
Operating Mode
Two heavy-duty chains, driven by a powerful drive shaft, carry a system of rakes placed one foot apart.
Each rake contains multiple teeth and/or brushes, and the stainless steel drive chains are connected with links bearings free to minimize maintenance. The chain rollers and chain guides are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), with no metallic lower bearings and no lower sprockets.
A scraper, placed at the point of discharge, cleans the screened material from the rakes and ejects the debris. Raketec’s rakes are designed to mesh perfectly with the bar screen system. The rakes clean debris from the bar screen, and convey waste material up to grade level.
Raketec can be set to run continuously, on a timer program (cycle on/off), or with a water level sensor.
Features & Benefits
-
Simple Design
The gear motor, mounted at the top of the frame, rotates the drive shaft. The links of the chain fit into two cogwheels, located on each extremity of the drive shaft. Driven by the rotation of the shaft, the links of the two stainless steel chains slide into the HDPE track. With the HDPE track system, there is no friction between the chain and the frame of the bar screen. There is no requirement to grease the chain..
-
Free Sprocket, No Lower Maintenance
At the lower part of the bar screen, the chains slide over two HDPE stationary rollers. With no moving parts at the bottom of the machine, no maintenance or underwater operation is necessary.
-
High Capture Rate
A combination of stainless steel rake teeth and brushes attached to the drive chains, placed one foot apart from each other, allows for extremely efficient cleaning. The brushes captures all rags and wipes, while the stainless steel teeth assemblies clean between the bars of the screen to remove smaller debris such as grit, sand, and fibers.
-
Minimal & Easy Maintenance
With no moving parts at the bottom of the bar screen, no maintenance is required. The weekly maintenance consists only of a visual check of the chains and the discharge chute. The back of the bar screen has an easy and safe access hood. If needed, brushes and teeth rake can be replaced quickly and easily by unfastening three bolts.
-
Odor Control
The frame of the bar screen is completely enclosed, keeping odor contained. Adding a washer/compactor with a bagger system, such as Compactec, maintains total odor control.

Internally Fed Rotary Drumscreen
Drumtec is an internally fed rotating drum screen built for heavy pretreatment applications such as draining, mud thickening, and sandy or industrial wastewater treatment. This product is highly recommended for membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment plants.
Drumtec is an internally fed rotary drum screen with a pinion-and-rack driving system. It provides high reliability with minimal maintenance, and little user involvement in daily operation.
Operating Mode
Drumtec is an internally fed rotary drum screen. Wastewater flows into the drum, where a deflector divides it evenly. Influent water passes through the perforated plate, which screens solids from the flow. A large flight auger carries the waste to the end of the drum, where it empties into an integrated washer/compactor or directly into a dumpster.
Features & Benefits
-
Simple & Reliable Machinery
The gear motor drives a pinion-and-rack system, which rotates the drum. Made of HDPE (High Density Polyethytylene), the mechanism does not require any maintenance (left).
Oversized trunnions support the drum, and provide stability during rotation (right).
-
High Capture Rate
Because the drum is fed internally, Drumtec catches all sorts of debris such as rocks, grits, organics, wipes, rags, fibers, and the like. The perforated plate provides a high capture rate of materials as small as 800 microns, making Drumtec a great solution for fine screening, specifically with a MBR system.
-
Safe & Easy Access
The cover is equipped with a lift handle on each side of the drum. A hydraulic assist mechanism allows a single operator to open the cover. A safety switch automatically stops the drum.
-
Integrated Bypass
An integrated bypass is available. If equipped, a sensor stops the drum, and the overflow routes to a tank containing a manual rack.
-
Minimal Maintenance
Spray bars provide touch-free cleaning of the inside of the drum. Weekly maintenance consists only of a visual inspection of the drum and the spray bar nozzles. Nozzles are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, when necessary.
-
All-In-One Solution
For complete screening treatment, a washer/compactor can be integrated directly at the discharge chute of the drum screen.d
